I’ve always thought New Years Eve would be an awesome day to get married. So when Rosie contacted me and told me about their plans for a New Years wedding in the back yard at one of my favourite B n B’s ‘House of Figs’ here in Yarrawonga I jumped at the chance!

Rosie’s and Andrew’s relaxed vibe was mirrored with laid back styling, beautiful florals and guests were greeted with cocktails as they entered. And Rosie herself added just a touch of New Years bling in her divine gold gown.

The speeches where full of love and funny stories of how they meet here in Yarrawonga on New Years at the RSL…. so it was fitting they chose this date.

Cheers Rosie and Andrew, I know that each New Years I’ll be raising my glass to you both xx

A Cactus Country Adventure | Yarrawonga Photographer

Hands up who loves cactus!!  Well I do and I love this place!  Cactus Country is a unique garden spread over 8 acres and has more than 4,000 species of cacti and succulents from around the globe.  And it's located right here in North East Victoria... only a 30 min drive from Yarrawonga.

When I chatted with Ellen about her family and what they like to do in their spare time, she told me that they loved to explore!  Cactus Country was on top her list of locations to shoot at, I was a tiny bit wary as my sessions are quite active, I like to keep everyone moving and get the kids running.  But in the end it was the PERFECT choice.   The kids were really fascinated and it honestly felt like I was a part of their family out adventuring for the day.  As the sun set it made for the most beautiful back drop... then it was just them. I stood back and just captured their amazing bond and love for one another.

Welcome to my very first blog post - YAY!!

My hope is to share a wonderful view of what my sessions look like.  I'm not just capturing the big picture, the one you'll frame for the the grandparents but all the little things to.  Like the way the wind picks up the delicate whisps of your daughters hair, or the way you look at your children, the soft touches of little hands in yours and of course all the laughter and huge smiles.

So I couldn't think of a better family to grace this inaugural post.

I first met the Johns family when they were expecting bub no. 2. Their easy going loving nature was so wonderful witness and capture. So when Brooke called to tell we she was expected bub no. 3 , I was beyond thrilled that I was able to photograph them again.   We met on the banks of the Murray River one warm January afternoon and these are the images we created.

Before there were five...
